Rusutsu

Awesome Terrain is Only a Short Drive Away at Rusutsu

With one of the largest available lift access ski areas Rusutsu Resort is our personal favorite. Discover why with a day spent in this powder paradise!

It has awesome lift accessed tree runs and epic bowls that feed almost straight off the top stations. It also has the widest and longest groomed areas which make it perfect for those who are still finding their confidence in the deep snow.

Rusutsu has 1,700 hectares of skiable terrain, 37 trails with the longest being 3.5km and a total of 42km of trails across the resort. It also boasts 4 gondolas, 7 quad chairs with 70% of these covered and 7 double chairs. 6 of the quad chairs are high speed to get you up the mountain quicker which means more time shredding. Rusutsu is #1 when it comes to moving people, so much so it can shift 30,728 people per hour.

Some more quick facts to get you excited:

  • Annual snowfall – 13m (approx)
  • Average snow base – 2.95m
  • Ski Season – Late November to Early April
  • Peak Season Lift Operation – 12hrs a day

Your guides will pick you up from your accommodation and spend the day showing you all the secret spots and short cuts Rusutsu has to offer. Your guide is also a professional photographer and will capture all the action throughout the day and by the end you will feel like a local and go home with amazing photos that few others will ever get. At the end of the day your guides will return you to your accommodation safe and sound with smiles you only get from skiing deep powder all day.
